Monroe-Union Breakfast Rotary Club

Chartered by Rotary International in April 1980, our club has participated in many local and international service projects. Primarily focused on literacy and the environment, club projects focus mainly but not exclusively on funding college scholarships, removing barriers to learning, and on the environment. The longest-running project is our high school senior scholarships that reward college-bound high school seniors for a demonstrated history of community service.

Monroe-Union Breakfast Rotary is a small but mighty Rotary club with a 43-year history of conceiving and completing projects that benefit Monroe and Union County. We encourage and reward volunteerism through our annual college scholarships. We plant trees at schools and public places. We have helped outfit STEM labs and clothes pantries in high-priority elementary schools in Union County. When COVID-19 put our most vulnerable neighbors at risk, we provided local community medical providers and caregivers with over 500 face shields. We joined other local Rotary clubs and helped fund a refrigerated truck for Common Heart food bank. These are just some of our projects in the last few years! Check out our projects page for more details and pictures.
Along the way, we strengthen friendships, make new friends, and have fun!
